75 years ago today, one of the greatest films of all time was released. Casablanca has everything you could possibly want in a movie, drama, romance, tension, terrific actors, incredible dialogue and beautiful costumes, it's all there. Although it under performed at the box office upon its initial release, it went on to win three Oscars (including Best Picture) which gave it another wave of attention. Over the years its popularity has grown, it's gone on to receive many accolades and was one of the first films preserved in the United States National Film Registry.

While Casablanca has many great elements; its screenplay is what really stands out. It's a story with heart and emotion, but has plenty of humour and quotable lines too. To celebrate the film's anniversary, we've picked out some of the greatest quotes that demonstrate why it's stood the test of time.

"Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine."

"Here's looking at you, kid."

"Play It, Sam"

Misquoted almost as often as "Luke, I Am Your Father"

"We'll always have Paris"

"If I gave it any thought I probably would"

"Your winnings, sir"

"Louie, I think this the beginning of a beautiful friendship"
