Hugh Laurie Could Join The Cast of Robocop

Everyone's favourite grumpy doctor, Hugh Laurie may join the increasingly recognisable cast of the Robocop remake.

According to Heat Vision, Laurie is in advanced talks to play the villain in the film - the loaded and very evil CEO of Omnicorp; the company that makes Robocop. Recently joining the cast were Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson, while star of the moody series, The Killing, Joel Kinnaman, will play the titular role of Robocop - and his previous, human guise. Jackson is apparently some sort of media mogul, while Oldman will play the creator of the robotic, criminal getter.

News on this one is seemingly every day. I'm looking forward to seeing what Brazilian director Jose Padilha does with it. All the indications so far are that it will be gritty and violent.
