Production on the live-action movie adaptation of the video game world's most famous hedgehog, Sonic, is well underway - as was revealed by the recent first photo from the set.

However, up until now, we've been kept in the dark about who will actually voice the speedy rodent.

Now, it's been revealed that Ben Schwartz - who currently voices Dewey on Disney's reboot of 'Duck Tales' and is best known for playing Jean-Ralphio on 'Parks and Recreation' - will take on the role.

The movie will also star Jim Carrey (as Dr. Robotnik), James Marsden and Tika Sumpter, with the plot seeing Sonic "on a quest to defeat Doctor Robotnik, a scientist who has imprisoned animals in robots and stolen magical Chaos Emeralds."

Schwartz is certainly happy about his casting...
