Henry Cavill Joins The Great Wall

10 February 2012

Henry Cavill is making sure he's not being typecast as Superman before the reboot he stars in, The Man of Steel, comes out next year. The British actor has just signed on for Ed Zwick's latest, The Great Wall.

According to Variety, the film will centre on the building of the Great Wall of China, with Cavill playing a pivotal character in how the only man made visible landmark from space was constructed. The story and his character are being kept under wraps, but that's a broad enough plotline for Zwick to work with. Cavill has been on the cusp of superstardom for some time, and it looks like he's really getting a bash at it now.

Not a massive fan of Zwick, I think he's very heavy-handed, but this could work.
