There is very little left in this world that has not seen Hello Kitty's face emblazoned across it, and the silver screen is the next stop on the world domination tour for...whatever it is that Hello Kitty is since apparently she's not a cat

Deadline report that a feature film is on the way for the not-cat-but-still-feline-looking-creature, as the emotionless corporation that owns her, Sanrio, look to get in on the movie business.

They started a subsidiary company in June in the US named Sanrio Media & Pictures Entertainment, which will handle the project, and they may well have a pretty hefty budget to work with, "anywhere from $160-240 million" according to reports. That's a sweet chunk of Kitty change for what is expected to be an animated feature, so we're expecting something amazing. Is 4D a thing yet? If it is this should be 4D. Anyway, it's set for release at some stage in 2019, so it's a long way off being a reality yet. In 4D.
