It seems like only yesterday we were telling you that Chris Pratt had signed on to play Star-Lord, the leader of the mystical Guardians of the Galaxy and now we've had word that the gang will start shooting the film this summer.
Speaking with Cinema Blend, Marvel's Vice-President of Visual Effects and Post Production Victoria Alonso revealed that production has already started on the film. "It started months ago and we have an entire team in London already - we start shooting in June. Our director [James Gunn] travels next week and it's going, baby! It's a fast train to a beautiful place."
Guardians of the Galaxy tells the tale of a team of outta this world superheroes who do everything in their power to errr, guard the galaxy from deadly foes. At the helm is Star-Lord, their half human half alien leader. All sounds good to us, sure we love a bitta intergalactic banter.
Don't expect to meet the gang too soon though! All going to plan, Guardians of the Galaxy should touch down in Irish cinemas in August 2014,
