Argo star Bryan Cranston is apparently in talks to join Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures' Godzilla remake. The project's currently on hold while the script is being re-written but since when has that ever stopped the rumour mill from going into overdrive?
Variety reports that Cranston is just one of the big names the studio has its eye on for the reboot of the Japanese monster classic. Rising Martha Marcy May Marlene star Elizabeth Olsen is also said to be in the running for a supporting role, along with Anna Karnenina and Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor Johnson (He changes his name more frequently than Diddy these days).
There's still no word on the plot or the characters involved but sources say there definitely won't be any deals finalised until the new script is complete. What we do know is that the film will be directed by Gareth Edwards and should crash into cinemas around May 16th 2014.
Wonder if Matthew Broderick will make an appearance?
