Two of Hollywood's hottest heavyweights teamed up for a bitta sci-fi. Oooh.

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star in Gravity, the latest project from Alfonso Cuaron, the man behind Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Bullock's playing a medical engineer on her first mission to space while Clooney is a veteran astronaut on the same shuttle.

Of course, no cinematic space mission is ever straightforward - just ask Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis and Tom Hanks - and their shuttle just happens to be destroyed. Sandra and George somehow manage to survive and are left floating through space, tied to each other and running out of oxygen. It's a race against time to try and get home and sounds like quite the adventure. PLUS, neither of them will be wearing any make-up. Interesting.

Gravity was originally due to hit cinemas in November 2012 but the movie was pushed back. Now the film is FINALLY set for release in the US on October 4th 2013 with an Irish release date to be confirmed.
