Game of Thrones' star Gwendoline Christie - who plays Brienne of Tarth in the hit show - is set to join the cast of the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, Mockingjay. The film, which will be split into two parts, is the final chapter in the Hunger Games series.

Christie replaces American Horror Story's Lily Rabe, who was due to play the role of Commander Lyme. Gwendoline Christie joins fellow Game of Thrones castmate Natalie Dormer, who'll be playing the role of Cressida. Dormer plays Margarery Tyrell in Game of Thrones.

Rabe pulled out due to a scheduling conflict with her Shakespeare In The Park performances. Christie has been pretty fantastic in her role as Brienne on Game of Thrones, perfectly capturing that blend of hard-ass independent woman with a glimmer of vulnerability.

Game of Thrones starts back tonight on US television.
