If you've watched an episode of 'This Is Us', then you should have an idea of what you're getting yourself in for here - as it's the same guy behind that directing and writing this.

Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde play a typical New York couple (well, for a movie anyway) who began as a college romance and follows right through to marriage, pregnancy and everything in-between, with their story have reverberations across continents and generations. The cast is pretty impressive, with names like Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Mandy Patinkin, 'Ready Player One' breakout Olivia Cooke, 'Legion' alum Jean Smart, even Samuel L. Jackson turns up in an unspecified role according to IMDb.

So, what's it all about? Not a clue, as the plot details aren't specific - but our guess is this thing is going to make you ugly-cry for ninety-odd minutes and will probably turn up somewhere in the Oscars next year.

'Life Itself' arrives in Irish cinemas later this year.
