Dwayne The Rock Johnson desperate for Star Wars role.

dwayne

OK you guys, Dwayne The Rock Johnson wants a role in the next Star Wars flick, so we have to find a way to get him in. Is he the best fit for the Disney movie? Well probably not, but is there anyone out there who would say they don't like him? He's like the male equivalent to Jennifer Lawrence; too likeable for their own good. Therefore, we'd like to see him in this movie.

Now you may question his acting chops, but he's a cool dude, let's give him that. Surely there's a role in the movie that doesn't require Shakespearean levels of acting? Just have him beat up a few bad guys.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson desperate for Star Wars role.

Speaking to an Aussie news outlet, primarily about his forthcoming movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the former WWF star said: "I played with two lines of action figures when I was a kid, G.I. Joe and Star Wars... By the way, because we didn't have a lot of money, I used to steal them. I'd just rip open the packages and shove 'em in my pockets... like a lot of kids. I got caught a couple of times, got my ass kicked by my parents... When I got the call saying, 'How do you feel about becoming the leader of the G.I. Joes?' it was like if I got a call from George Lucas saying, 'I want you to be in Star Wars'. I'm gonna call J.J. and you're gonna help by printing it and I'm gonna be in Star Wars'!"

He would make a great villain or anti-hero.

@MikeBarret - calm down there, I do believe I said would he suit THE Disney movie, not A Disney movie. 'The Disney movie' being a way to describe the forthcoming Star Wars as it will be brought forward by the folk at Disney. I am aware that he has been in OTHER Disney movies before. The question asks whether he would suit this particular one. And you can describe The Rock as many things; being a former WWF star is but one of the many strings to his bow.

It wouldn't be a good idea. Dwayne is simply too widely recognized as a wrestler for him to get a decent role, which is the main reason his acting career hasn't picked up as well as he would like it to. Hell, that is the same reason almost all wrestlers have unsuccessful acting careers (see Hulk Hogan). Whenever his face pops up I instantly hear "IF YA SMEEEEEEEEELL" in the back of my head. The only way he would get a part would be if he wore a mask or a whole lot of prosthetic make-up and didn't say anything.

Was the article writer born with any knowledge whatsoever? First off he asked would Dwayne suit a Disney movie and they says probably not - Ummm have you been hiding under a rock for a decade? He's been in Disney Movies before!! The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain were both Disney films and not only that he says Dwayne is a former WWF Star, Umm hello, first off it hasn't been WWF since 2001, that's 12 years! and second, he isn't former, He is dual, He is an actor and CURRENT WWE. As It stands now he is WWE Champion for the 8th time. Zebulen Peter Stovold 'It wouldn't be a good idea. Dwayne is simply too widely recognized as a wrestler for him to get a decent role, which is the main reason his acting career hasn't picked up as well as he would like it to' Ummm false. He's been in one of the biggest franchises of all time, a role he has made permanent. He has appeared in many mainstream movies that have gone on to be global success. He is not only a good actor but a great actor and the thing that you don't understand is that Dwayne has a little thing called Artist's control, He choses the roles he wants to be in.

He's the best fit for any movie. Nobody who saw him in Faster would question his acting. Just because someone has muscles doesn't mean they can't act. Mr. Johnson is a great actor. He's Star Wars worthy. They should be so lucky! The biggest movie star on the planet . . . they'd be dumb not to put him in. Disney already loves him, so I'm going expect to see him in Star Wars 7. You better wake up and smell what The Rock is cookin'!

Not a good idea to have the rock as a starwars character. Fast and furious thats cool, Gi Joe thats aight, his own little thing he did snitch, whatever. but Starwars No. but knowing disney they will give him the role. Ive already seen them come out with stupid starwars merchandise. a true strarwars fan wont agree with this decision but all the band waggoners will eat this s**t up and support it.
