A third instalment to the buddy comedy film franchise is currently in the works from MGM.
The two leads of the film, Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson, are in talks to reprise their roles from the preceding films Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jared Hess, the director of Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, and the upcoming Masterminds, is in talks to direct the new film, which will be called Shanghai Dawn.
Plot details have not yet been revealed but the story is by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, who wrote Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights.
It was recently announced that Jackie Chan will receive a Lifetime Achievement Oscar so we figure if this is what he wants, he should get it.
