After the success that was 'Isle Of Dogs', Wes Anderson doesn't appear to be too interested in taking time off.
According to a report by French outlet Sud Ouest and subsequently picked up by The Playlist, Anderson is beginning work on his next movie and will reportedly be setting the action in post-World War II France. The title and general plot haven't yet been revealed, nor has any casting been announced either, but it's understood Anderson is looking to begin filming as soon as February of next year. Anderson has also lived in France for a number of years and often speaks about his love for the country, so it makes sense that he set at least one of his feature-length movies there.
Technically speaking, this wouldn't be Anderson's first movie set in France. In 2007, Anderson shot a short movie in Paris called 'Hotel Chevalier' with Jason Schwartzmann and Natalie Portman which would eventually be shown before screenings of 'The Darjeeling Limited' and was included on the home release for it.
No release date has been set for Anderson's next movie, but expect it to be some time later in 2019.
