Although we weren't fans of this film in any way, shape or form, there's obviously enough interest in bland, unoriginal rehashs of Michael Mann's work to warrant making another film as Deadline reports Den Of Thieves 2: Den Harder (not the title) is in the works.
According to their report, Gerard Butler is set to return as maverick detective Big Nick who's tracking Ice Cube's eldest, O'Shea Jackson Jr., through the streets of Europe as he attempts to infiltrate a gang of international jewel thieves. Despite being listed as Rotten on the Tomatometer, the audience score for Den Of Thieves was a very respectable 69% and the film over-performed on expectations.
The film's made a total of $57,329,180 worldwide so far, and has yet to complete its run in other markets - so that figure will likely get higher before it finishes out.
No release date has been set for the film as of yet.
