Darren Aronofsky For Wolverine 2?

Darren Aronofsky For Wolverine 2?

31 August 2010

It seemed that 30 Days of Night and Twilight: Eclipse director David Slade was a dead cert to take over helming duties on Wolverine 2, after Robert Schwentke ruled himself out of the running by pulling out of a planned meeting with Hugh Jackman. But now a new guy might be in the mix...

According to Deadline.com, Jackman is looking to team up with his Fountain director Darren Aronofsky on the flick, and has reached out to him to do so. There's no word on if The Wrestler helmer will sign on, or even if Fox would let him, but he'd be a damn interesting choice nonetheless.

Slade may the only helmer both the studio and Jackman can agree on. He's made the best Twilight movie by a mile, and proved he can handle the scale of such a production in the process. Aronofsky's latest effort, The Black Swan is premiering at The Venice Film Festival in the next few weeks.

Watched Wolverine for the first time the other day and i have to say, nothing like what i expected. I thought it would be fairly crappy, as most spin off movies are (Elektra, Catwoman etc...), it really wasn't, amazing movie, way more action that i expected, some fantastic special effects and a great story. Loved it, can't wait for 2.
