Daniel Radcliffe for Frankenstein role...
When Daniel Radcliffe isn't getting rat-arsed with the Dublin minors, he's flexing his thespian muscles. So far we've seen him as the titular Harry Potter in the Harry Potter franchise, we've seen him go full frontal for his turn in the Broadway version of Equus, and we've also seen him dabble in the horror genre with The Woman in Black.
What's next for Daniel? Well apparently he's in talks to star in a new take on Frankenstein. But it's not the role of old Franky he wants; he'd rather play the Hunchback. As per Digital Spy, the film is currently in the works. Lucky Number Slevin's Paul McGuigan is in line to direct a movie DS are describing as a revisionist, sci-fi version of a Gothic classic. Max Landis (Chronicle) will pen the script.
As per The Wrap, this film will put Fitz (The Hunchback) more front and centre. What's more, he'll be donned in dirty old clown's clothes.
Commenting on the forthcoming flick, Landis revealed: "I began to pick apart our knowledge of Frankenstein and discovered that the public's idea of this myth comes from a million different places... I became committed to re-contextualising it all so it all worked in one story. By the end of the day, it's a period piece and yes, it's from [Hunchback's] perspective, but man it's cool. It's the best thing I've written."
