Johan Johansson, the Icelandic-born, Oscar-nominated composer of soundtracks to films such as Sicario, Prisoners, and The Theory Of Everything has passed away.

He was 48. In a brief statement delivered to media by Johansson's management, they confirmed the news and described him as "one of the most talented and brilliant people who we had the privilege of knowing and working with."
