Christian Bale is to go all Liam Neeson in the revenge thriller, Out of the Furnace, reports Heat Vision.
Scott Cooper, who helmed the Oscar winning Jeff Bridges starrer Crazy Heart, is directing the film, and also wants Viggo Mortensen for the bad guy role. The film will centre on Bale's character who hopes for a quiet homecoming after being released from prison. But when his brother is murdered, he goes on a vengeful rampage. Names being thrown around for the brother role include (the always excellent) Casey Affleck, who needs to be in more films.
Ridley Scott is producing the flick which could begin shooting in the coming weeks.
