What is it with child actors that makes them go off the rails?

Is it the sudden fame that goes to their head? Or is it the sudden lack of fame that drives them baloobas?

Either way, it's almost a cliche when it comes to former child actors that their lives are more or less shagged when the cameras shut down.

There's some examples of those who've turned it around - Leonardo DiCaprio, Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore and Ryan Gosling were all former child actors who made good.

One, however, who's been having a rough time is Jake Lloyd. Have you ever seen Star Wars: The Phantom Menace? It's the little kid who played Anakin Skywalker, who'd eventually grow up to be Darth Vader.

He also starred in Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger as well.

Anyway, since then, he's been quite vocal about how being a child actor made his life hell.

Sure enough, he's now been arrested after leading police officers in Charleston, South Carolina on a high-speed chase.

Police arrested Jake Lloyd, now 26, when he lost control of his car and flew into some trees.

Maybe he was having a flashback to that time he was podracing... No, that's not good.

Poor guy, though.
