Irish film has been on a high in recent years with the Oscar nominated Room and Brooklyn and domestic hits including The Young Offenders and A Date For Mad Mary. A new campaign being launched today will celebrate great moments in Irish film and thank cinema audiences for supporting Irish films at the box office.

Moments Worth Paying For is a collaboration between the Irish Film Board and The Industry Trust for IP Awareness. They're created a trailer which highlights the best of Irish film, you can watch it online from today and it will be shown in cinemas from Friday. The trailer directs audiences to the industry-funded film search engine, LoveMovies.ie which offers a directory of legal content sources.

David Burke, Chairman at Industry Trust for IP Awareness said: "Being able to work with The Irish Film Board on this campaign has been an extremely rewarding experience. As a country Ireland has such a rich heritage of storytelling and this selection of moments fills me with great pride in Irish Film. Our research has concluded that audiences are more likely to support the film industry after watching the trailers that are directly speaking to them. So it’s hugely vital to remember how our cinema ticket supports the 18,000 film and film-related jobs in Ireland. We continue to inspire our core audiences with messaging through our trailers."
