If there's one thing Star Wars is known for, it's merchandising opportunities for toys and how they'll churn out basically ANY character into an action figurine.

However, this time around, it seems they're a bit more circumspect about who gets an action figure. Case in point being the lack of toys and action figures for Rey and Princess Leia, which Carrie Fisher herself has picked up on.

The Star Wars veteran has been retweeting fans asking the official Disney account why there aren't any toys or action figures of Princess Leia or Daisy Ridley's character, Rey.

The official line from Disney, of course, is they have currently have no plans to make Princess Leia toys, but that could very well change after release once people have seen the film.

Meanwhile, Disney have confirmed that there'll be no more Slave Leia toys or figurines going forward as it's clearly too sexualised for kids nowadays.

On the other hand, a figurine of a half-man, half-cyborg who had his legs cut off by his best friend and needs a breathing apparatus to survive is totally cool. Totally.
