The author of Bridget Jones, whose just penned the third book (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy), is now gung ho on getting a third film in the works. Do we want it? Well we did, up until the point when we learned of the devastating fate that lay in store for one of our favourite characters.

Now, we're not quite sure we can take a Bridget Jones movie where Bridget herself is without *SPOILER* her prince charming. She (Renee Zellweger had a hard enough time arriving at her own definition of utter bliss (being married to Colin Firth's Mark Darcy), we just couldn't handle seeing it all fall apart, not to mention the inevitability that Hugh Grant's Daniel Cleaver would likely slink his way back in to her oversized, granny knickers.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Helen Fielding revealed: "Well I don't know because I've only just finished it, really. I mean, I would like it. I would like to see it be a film".

So, Bridget Jones numero three, are you up for it?
