Really, at this stage, we're probably better off just not reporting on any Bond stuff until it's actually confirmed.
Obviously, take this with a pinch of salt, but The Mail on Sunday is reporting that Richard Madden of 'Bodyguard' and 'Game Of Thrones' is now set to take up the mantle of 007 once Daniel Craig finishes his stint next year. Their source claims that Barbara Broccoli will offer Madden the role, and that he is "top of the list."
Madden, who is 32, shot to fame playing Robb Stark, the ill-fated King in the North, on 'Game Of Thrones' before he appeared alongside Lily James' in Kenneth Branagh's lavish live-action retelling of 'Cinderella'. Since then, Madden has turned up in the likes of 'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams' and, most recently, the critically-acclaimed hit 'Bodyguard', where he played David Budd.
Of course, none of this news about him playing Bond has been confirmed and you can be sure that he's certainly not going to confirm it either. As it stands, Craig has one movie left in his contract with Cary Fukunaga of 'True Detective' fame set to direct, with a release date confirmed for February 14th, 2020.
Craig's replacement will likely not be announced for some time, quite possibly until after the 2020 release date - so, really, you're looking at least two years before any of this is confirmed.
