Best-selling international author Tom Clancy has died. He was 66. Clancy's thriller novels were hugely successful during the 1980's and 1990's, all the way up to today. Many of his novels were adapted into films, including The Hunt For Red October, Patriot Games and Clear & Present Danger.

Clancy was also a part owner of the Baltimore Orioles. His novel, Rainbow Six, was the basis for the videogame series and subsequent videogames that spun out from it. Chris Pine and Kenneth Branagh are currently filming Jack Ryan, based on the early years of the character he created in his novels.

His final novel, Command Authority, is due to be released in December.

Any excuse to watch this film again. One ping only, pahleashe.
