It has to be hard for someone like Ben Affleck to go onto another film set, in which he isn't directing and know that there's a pretty decent chance he could do a far better job than the person behind the camera.

Case in point - Batman v Superman and Zack Snyder's need to break the character down so completely without any kind of understanding of what audiences want or why it wouldn't work. In an upcoming interview with Empire, Affleck admitted that some of the criticisms people had about the film were justified.

"I can understand people saying (Batman V Superman) was too dark, or this was outside the tone of what I’m used to seeing with a Batman story, and I think that’s a fair criticism,” said Affleck. See that, folks? Fair criticism. That's coming from the guy who was actually IN the movie. He agrees that the film was too dark, and completely outside any kind of expectation for Batman.

Don't take it up with us anymore, take it up with Ben Affleck and see how long that lasts.
