Bana Joins Saoirse Ronan In Hannah
05 February 2010
Australian actor, and all round masculine sort, Eric Bana is in negotiations to join Saoirse Ronan in the Joe Wright directed action flick, Hannah.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will mainly focus on Ronan's teenage assassin. The interesting sounding production will apparently tell the story of a "14-year-old Eastern European girl saved from a CIA breeding camp and raised by her dad to be a cold-blooded killing machine. After finding peace with a French family, the girl is dragged back to her father’s world, and she must fight her way to a free life."
Wright directing this more visceral sounding material is an intriguing prospect, while I don't think there's a better actress working today around the same age as Ronan. Bana was the best thing about Troy, and had a big year with Funny People, Star Trek and The Time Traveler's Wife.
