Another actress rules herself out of Fifty Shades of Grey
Another actress has ruled herself out of the running to star in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Elizabeth Olsen (Red Lights) has garnered the kind of credibility - after only a handful of roles - which any young actress worth their salt in Hollywood would kill for. But although she realises the impact the film has had, she won't be starring in it. "No, no, no! But it's had a huge impact on society. Apparently rope sales have skyrocketed because women who've read the book are really getting into bondage, which is kind of great." Olsen told Bullett, "It's such a taboo for women to actually discuss sexuality without the help of Cosmopolitan. All of a sudden, this book has become a sensation because the women reading it haven't had access to this kind of thing before." Olsen added: "I was talking to a guy who was making a joke about it, saying, 'Clearly, these women just need to watch porn'. In a way, he's right."
There seem to be more actresses ruling themselves out of starring in the film than pursuing it - but sure you wouldn't hear about that anyway. Emma Watson recently knocked her reported involvement on the head - which was to be expected in fairness.
