Zsa Zsa Gabor, actress turned socialite, has passed away aged 99.

A Hungarian native, Gabor moved to Hollywood at 21 to pursue stardom and made waves in the likes of John Huston's Moulin Rouge and Orson Welles' A Touch of Evil.

While Huston insisted she was a "creditable" actress, he biggest starring role was in Queen Of Outer Space in which she played a sexpot despot from the planet Venus.

Gabor would eventually go on to become far better known for her private life than her acting career and is often thought of as one of the original Hollywood socialites, paving the way for the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.

Coincidentally, what started Gabor on her way down the socialite path was her marriage to Paris Hilton's grandfather, Conrad, in 1942. Gabor would marry nine times in total, with the actor, George Sanders also among her former spouses.

She'll probably be best remembered for her one-liners as much as her acting career. Here's some of the best ones she came out with over the years.

"I never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back."

"I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house."

"A man in love is incomplete until he has married. Then he's finished."

"Getting divorced just because you don't love a man is almost as silly as getting married just because you do."

"I want a man who's kind and understanding. Is that too much to ask of a millionaire?"

"How many husbands have I had? You mean apart from my own?"

"I don't remember anybody's name. How do you think the 'dahling' thing got started?"
