There's a good chance you may have seen the above image before, possibly on Twitter and usually under some cryptic text about being 't h i c c' or something.

Essentially, the original tweet suggests that - for one particular scene in 2008's World War II thriller Valkyrie - Tom Cruise wore a stunt butt to protect his posterior from damage or exploding shrapnel. Here's that tweet.

So, naturally, when you're in an interview scenario with The Cruiser, this topic has to be addressed. Right? Right. That's exactly what happened when ScreenRant sat down with the actor and, according to him, it's all him. "I have no idea. There was no prosthetic in Valkyrie," said Cruise.

So, you're saying Cruise really does have that big an ass? Apparently so. In fact, Cruise brought the topic back when asked about a specific scene in his most recent film, American Made, in which his character moons his family before he leaves. "It’s me. It’s not CGI, it’s me. I do my own mooning in films. So let it be known – I do my own mooning."

Well, that settles that then. Tom Cruise, not afraid to bear his ass in the name of cinema.
