Bad news guys, those rumours about a James Franco/Lindsay Lohan biopic are untrue. Last month, the actor-come-director put out a casting call looking for both a "James Franco type" and a "Lindsay Lohan type" for an upcoming movie. Obviously, we were chomping at the bit to see what came of this; in what bizarre way could a movie bring these two actors (well, let's use that term loosely when referring to Lohan) together?
Alas (or maybe thankfully), Franco has since denied such rumours. Speaking to E! the actor revealed that the film will be based on neither his or Lindsay's life: "That's something I really didn't publicise... We just put out a casting call for a Lindsay Lohan and James Franco type. People just saw the casting call and picked that up and made up a lot of stories about it."
What Franco did divulge is that the movie (untitled as of yet) will be about "two Hollywood celebrities". "It's really a project that's really under the radar for now," so we'll have to bide our time to see what's in store.
In the meantime, we can however look forward to seeing Franco in one of his most promising roles to date: Oz: The Great and Powerful, later this year.Watch the trailer here.
