A Sam Raimi directed Poltergeist movie? Yes please.

OK so first we have a poltergeist remake; meh. Now we have one helmed by Sam Raimi; not so meh. Sound good to you? Sounds bloody terrifying that's for sure. A prolific filmmaker with an affinity for horror, Raimi has worked on many movies among which The Evil Dead and Drag Me To Hell are included. He was already attached to produce the remake of the 1982 hit, but now rumour has it he'll take to the director's chair as well. As per Total Film, this news comes from David Lindsay-Abaire - a writer who's worked with Raimi on The Great and Powerful Oz - who confirmed during a Rise Of The Guardians interview that Raimi would direct.

We'll wait for an official confirmation of this but either way, this production just got a whole lot more interesting. Cushions at the ready!
