To be fair, it's just a motion poster and not a huge amount to go on, but there is definitely something... off... with the live-action version of 'Sonic The Hedgehog'.

Maybe it's just that we're so used to seeing him in a 16-bit incarnation or a 3D rendering. Imagine what Mickey Mouse would look like in real-life, with those ears, and those pants. It'd be terrifying, right?

The same thing goes for Sonic. It just looks wrong. Wrong. Here's the motion poster released earlier today.

Maybe there's more coming to all of this, and that we can't really judge it based solely on the outline? After all, it could just be that there's some kind of work still yet to be done. What's up with the size of hands, for instance? That doesn't look right.

What about his big, girthy legs? Sure, he's a sprinter and everything but... why does he have legs like that? Granted, it may look a bit more accurate for, say, Jim Carrey to play Dr. Robotnik because that's a human character.

But this? Odd. Very odd. But who knows, it's early days yet. 'Sonic The Hedgehog' speeds into Irish cinemas on December 26th, 2019.
