Well, the drones in TMZ were certain she was going to get away with it. Lindsay herself thought she was going to get away with it... that's very possibly why she looked "confused and distressed as she was taken into custody" yesterday.
Let's see what Sky News has to say: "She was taken from court to begin her sentence by sheriff's deputies officials after it was ruled the jewellery case was a probation violation. 'She is to serve 120 days... forthwith,' Judge Stephanie Sautner said. 'Perhaps she might see how women who have fallen on real hard times have to live and maybe she will change'." Not likely, it didn't change Paris Hilton.
In addition to spending 4 months in the slammer with lots of ladies, Lohan also has to serve 300 hours community service at a women's shelter and... the county morgue.
Sky News continues with: "Although Lohan has denied theft and friends have said she believed the necklace was on loan, Judge Sautner said the evidence suggested she meant to steal it. 'I see the intent here and I see the level of brazenness with 'let me see what I can get away with', Sautner added."
Well, there you have it. For those of you screaming "For the love of GOD, will she be able to do her small nudy role in Giotti?! Or is it going to be Lovelace all over again??!!" she should be able to undertake her role of a lifetime; apparently that doesn't start shooting 'til September.
