All I Know Is That There Were Rumours...

All I Know Is That There Were Rumours...

10 August 2009

That Jack Tweed has taken to hosting orgies in his new bachelor pad... That his neighbours now want him ejected from their gated community if he has anymore "sex parties"... According to The Sun: "Jack, 22 - who has no pictures of Jade in the house - hosted his first orgy last Sunday. Glamour girls Sam Grierson, 24, Roxy Townsend, 21, and Biannca Legg, 26, romped with his pals while he looked on. But the second seedy party hosted by Jack - whose wife died of cancer in March - was the final straw for neighbours in swanky Repton Park, Essex"... A source said: "Jack was between two girls in the hall when police arrived and the house was a den of sex. In every room people were doing it. It was like a brothel"... That Mark Lester, "a close pal of Michael Jackson" is now claiming to be the father of Paris: "Paris is very pale, with blue eyes. All my daughters, apart from my eldest, are fair with blue eyes. So many people have commented on how alike the girls look"... That Lester says he donated sperm a few years back, with Uri Gellar recently chiming in: "As a close friend of Mark, I respect his own situation to reveal this information at this time. I knew it all along simply because Michael told me"... That Katherine Jackson's lawyer said: "These genetic lottery attempts aren't going anywhere. They have no legal standing. They may seek 5 seconds of fame but the claims have no merit"... That Jackson has finally been buried - in an undisclosed grave at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, in the Hollywood Hills. A source at the cemetery said: "Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot. Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it's as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can't leak out"... That Victoria Beckham's debut as a "guest" judge on American Idol in Denver over the weekend was predictably "icy and wooden"... That James Corden requested a body double for a nude bum shot scene in Gulliver's Travels... That's wise... That Peter Andre's single, Behind Closed Doors, is bound for the number one spot... Hopefully that'll stop him saying stuff like: "When Elton, Rod and people like that were signed up they had seven-album deals. It will take me two or three credible albums to be mentioned in the same breath but that's what I aspire to. I believe I can do what Robbie Williams did. People gave Robbie s*** for being the fat kid from Take That when he was doing Freedom. He felt how I feel now"... When he's done hawking his single, Peter's due to write a cook book, and has been given £1.5million for his troubles: "It will start with barbecue food - which all men will love - and ways to spruce up a juicy piece of meat. Then it will have delicious pastas and soups. Trust Pete to keep it authentic with some old Greek family recipes that his fans won’t be able to resist. He’s even considering having a wok section with oriental recipes inspired from his recent trip to Asia"... 'Cause a quick holiday in Asia is enough to qualify a celebrity to be a book-wielding culinary mastermind... That Heidi Montag decided to bring along a copy of Playboy to the LA premiere of G.I.JOE: The Rise of Cobra... It's anybody's guess why... That Amy Nuttal said of Emmerdale bosses: "I was kind of told that if you do this you will get bigger and better storylines. They said that the more attention you got, the bigger the character would grow, therefore there would be more to do. And so I kind of thought, 'Oh well...in that case'. I wouldn't say there was pressure to do it but I certainly was young and naive because I was just 18 when I started in 'Emmerdale'"... That Pixie Geldof is launching a pop career - once she cops herself on: "Pixie has a great voice and is a genuine talent (unlike some). But she is known for her late-night partying and is considered too much of a risk at the moment. If she can prove she can behave and have a few early nights she will be snapped up"... That Richard Hammond was involved in another car crash over the weekend... Thankfully it wasn't life threatening, he just rear ended the car in front of him while driving about Gloucester in his "£110,000 Morgan Aeromax"... That you can see what other celebrities are up to in Caught Out...

OTFAM: Anyone ever Google their own name?

Posted 11/08/2009 11:53:52

Paul

OTAFAM: What's with the new uLike thing? Personalise your homepage? Tell use what uLike? (I like puns, but that made me shudder), and still no forum? Guys, no offense, but get a bit of cop on. Who's going to care enough to alter their own homepage here? What are we, lazy? We won't just see Cinema or Gossip and click it? And the uLike (Eugghhhh) is just stupid, type in what you like, and if it's ever mentioned here, we'll let you know? What if i type in t*ts? Or ar*e? Your site was nice as it was, with the new makeover, but stop adding these stupid features to it, people like simplicity, not this tech babble. If we want it bad enough, we'll find it. PS - I know i posted it here, but i want other people to know i think it, and see what they think. Somehow i think the e.ie crew have stopped caring what the viewer thinks, so the feedback section is worthless. Here's my feedback... Bring back the forum, create a chat box (Come on guys, if Yahoo can put one on every one of their free groups, just like Bebo, Facebook, Myspace etc... Surely you can too), give clickable link options in these sections, give viewers the option to delete their own Gossip/ Movie news comments, give us user profiles that we can fill in, and for the love of God, stop trying so hard to be hip, it's not working.

God Paul do you ever stop giving out???? I actually like the new layout. So speak on your own behalf as I still find it very easy to get around. Maybe your just not as clever as the rest of us or adaptable to change as the rest of us are but seriously you need to cop on. Obviously they are listening to the viewer if they have decided to change things around. People have obviously made suggestions for these things. I already have a bebo account and a facebook account why in good gods name would i want to have another site like that. In case you hadnt noticed this is an entertainment website letting you know whats going on in the country entertainment wise. Its not a site for you to go on and chat (more like give out!!!) about everything You never have anything POSITIVE to say your such a negative person who is obviously afraid of change unless it suits him. There are plenty of sites for chatting and giving your opinion you even mentioned them above but this is not it in all honesty i think the people at entertainment.ie just dont care what YOU think along with everyone else!! To the guys at entertainment.ie loving the new layout and I personally think that you are doing a fantastic job! Keep it up girls and boys! :)

Linz, yes it's an entertainment site, the title gave that away to me. However, the people who run this obviously want chat and debate to take place here, hence the usage of these comment sections dotted around the site. It's not built purely on entertainment, it's built on discussion. If it were entertainment only, where's the exclusives? All of these people mentioned in this section have Twitter profiles and suchlike, we all know this already, even the photographs are second hand, taken from WENN and other gallery sites. So what else? It's a nice looking site, of course, it works quite well, but it's about the people who use it, not the people who run it, or the people they choose to mention, which is why i post what i do, i have opinions on the site, and i think i'm entitled to share them if i choose. I am not a negative person, as i said in my earlier post, i think the site is decent, but for a site run on chat and debate (Or giving out), there are far better features that could be included, than the ones provided. But please understand, this is not about news, gossip, TV listings etc... We can get all of that from many different sites. It's how it's wrapped up and served to us that counts, and right now, although everything looks nice, there are things here that people will never use. At least 60% of the viewers here use this site at their workplaces, but with all this new rigmarole, they can't use it anymore, which is why the comments have fallen, why the viewership is falling, and why some people here seem to think it's all about entertainment again, but it isn't. And you have to realise that. Linz, maybe my comment earlier was negative, but that down to my lowly humour right now, and i apologise for that, but i cannot apologise for the basis on which it's based. I'm right, i know i'm right, and other people using this site also know i'm right.

Put that down, not but. One of my points proven already, no edit and no delete.

ilike the new layout :-) paul - stfu!

See Paul I am not the only one who likes the new layout...

Bettina

I love entertainment.ie It really really entertains! hehe!

Posted 11/08/2009 14:13:20

Paul

Bettina, can i ask you a question? What entertains you more on this site, it's entertainment news, or these rants? Be honest :)

Posted 11/08/2009 14:29:50

Cynic

Paul if the look of the homepage is annoying you that much why don't you just click on the Classic Homepage link? The powers that be will take into count how many people like the classic homepage or the new one and change the site accordingly...Besides all of that, YOU have control of YOUR homepage, you can change it how you like, that's the point! Anything else you'd like to suggest I'm sure your input would be better served by contacting Entertainment.ie on their 'Contact Us' link, that way at least your opinion is directed towards someone that has the power to change the website...

Posted 11/08/2009 14:37:44

Paul

I never said it annoyed me. I asked what was the purpose of it. There are far better things that could be added to this site, things of which the prospect almost has me drooling. Personalising the homepage is not one of them.

Posted 11/08/2009 14:41:56

Linz

I totally agree with cynic. Whats the point in ranting here when you can take your issues up with the site at the contact us section.

Posted 11/08/2009 14:44:24

Paul

Now correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't i post this... PS - I know i posted it here, but i want other people to know i think it, and see what they think. Somehow i think the e.ie crew have stopped caring what the viewer thinks, so the feedback section is worthless... in my earlier comment?

Posted 11/08/2009 14:47:45

Linz

But Paul you have already stated that things need to be kept simple putting all of these things on that you persistently keep sayin will make the site better in YOUR opinion Your contradicting yourself you need to make a decision and stick to it. One minute you are sayin that things need to be kept simple yet the next you want everything changed might I add to suit what you want and what you think everyone else wants. Share your opinions on this matter with Entertainment.ie like everyone else does, if what you want doesnt happen on the site then tough its obviously not a popular idea and maybe there have been others that are totally against some of your ideas. At the end of the day you made your suggestions if they are not acted upon then just deal with it and get on with things.

Posted 11/08/2009 14:53:32

Linz

Entertainment.ie do listen to its users hence the change in the homepage layout and all the other newish features one of my favourites being the reminders for certain programmes or cinema times. In future put up your own opinion not expect everyone to just think the way you do. Negatively!!!

Posted 11/08/2009 14:56:40

Cynic

The feedback section is only worthless if no one uses it... Maybe some member of this site gave them the idea for the customisable homepage, you don't know for a fact that they didn't... Have you asked the powers that be to bring back the forum? I mean asked them directly, via their links supplied for that purpose..?

Posted 11/08/2009 14:57:26

Paul

Linz, chat boxes are simple, profiles are simple, customising homepages and searching through thousands of links saying 'Jack Bauer' is NOT simple. And i believe we're finished here. Cynic, considering your name, you seem to have a very positive attitude on this whole thing. So just because i like that, i will do as you say this evening. I will contact this site, i will make my enquiries, and i will let you know the moment i can prove that they don't care what i or anyone else thinks. A very simple way of doing that now... Few months back, comments in these boxes were posted upward, newest first. Then they were switched to newest last. Example, report on Michael Jackon's death has over 100 comments. To read the newest comments, you must scroll down the screen to the very last comment to view it. Myself, and some other people over the months complained about this openly, but yet here we are, with comments rolling the way of Se7en, instead of Con Air. Why? Because they don't care.

Posted 11/08/2009 15:48:42

Paul

Any reason why the last comment was deleted? The rules are... No bad language, no racism, no violent threats etc... I responded without any of that. Kindly refrain from deleting my comments without fair reason.

Posted 11/08/2009 16:17:16

Cynic

Well Paul I'm glad your going to take a direct approach to give your feedback to the people who can do something directly about it. But aren't you being very negative even before you have contacted them... "and i will let you know the moment i can prove that they don't care what i or anyone else thinks"

Posted 11/08/2009 16:21:44

Paul

Cynic, believe me, i know how people like them operate. I'm not an idiot, despite any claims made here. Trust me, this section alone is being tracked, and harmless comments are being deleted. They already know my feedback. But as i said, just for the sake of doing so, i will contact them later, once i've dealt with more serious matters.

Linz

I never commented on anythin about your my space page or any other site you may be on i never suggested for a second that they were dull or that no one liked them i have only commented on your presence on this site. You want to insult me by implying that I am tryin to do anythin but voice my opinion also on what they have added and was just pointin out the fact that you do not speak on everyones behalf which your so keen on doing so do it. I dont let people like you lead me to believe that i am in the wrong. That if you want to voice an opinion speak on your own behalf not everyone elses. You obviously dont like what I have put in front of you today but that is your problem not mine. I dont think that you have been happy that I didnt just give up and tell you that i totally agree just for the sake of it like so many before me have. You say you spend your time elsewhere because of people like me? Is it because I dont go about your way of thinkin or that i just decided to voice my opinion and stick with it?? that i didnt back down to you? Whats is the point in constantly givin out?? If I disgust you again that is your opinion. Entertainment.ie are tryin there best to keep up with the times these things cannot be figured out overnight it takes time and all sorts of programs to be made so that it will be compatible with the site. Its that your opinions are always negative whether it be other peoples dicussions or this one which should not even be here. This should be about the above article not what you think entertainment.ie should or shouldnt do with the site. Ive wasted too much time of my day and more importantly my life on your petty argument. Good luck with your suggestions to entertainment.ie

Oh and depending on your PC or laptop there are some easy ways to get to the bottom of a screen without scrolling all the way down. The End and Home keys handy for taking you up and down screens quickly. F5 key will refresh the page your on, there is plenty of keyboards shortcuts that are very handy on a day to day basis...

Posted 11/08/2009 16:28:57

Linz

Cynic has even commented on you being negative!

Posted 11/08/2009 16:29:32

Paul

Cynic, i understand that. But wouldn't it be nice just to see the latest comments first? Like any normal site?

Posted 11/08/2009 16:36:34

Paul

Can't say finger now, eh? What a wonderful site. Sheena, if it's you deleting my comments, you have some neck after the filth you've posted on this site over the last few months. I really have to laugh.

Posted 11/08/2009 16:47:04

Linz

Paul if you couldnt care why the constant response?? Is it the same reason I respond to you to get my opinion and point across? You wanted a discussion and now you are tellin me to mind my own business? Why say something and not expect people to respond. Now who using language and I might also add insulting me with that last comment but I dont act on that and i would never loose sleep over it. As for the comment about Cynic I was merely pointing out that he/she is pointing out your negative streak the same way i had. Instead of congratulating Entertainment.ie on the upgrade and adjustments to the site you instantly became negative about it implyin that what you think is so much better.

Posted 11/08/2009 16:47:06

Linz

Paul if you really have an issue with the site why dont you create one of your own?? With all the features that you wish Entertainment.ie had? Then everyone would be happy. :)

Linz, love you, when i make a website, i'm gonna hire you, you're the best *Paul eyes up his comments, terrified of the great deleter*

Posted 11/08/2009 16:50:15

Linz

Sarcasim is an ugly trait. Im not tryin to get you to agree with me i am just voicing my opinion and not forcing everyone to believe things should be the way I want them to be. God there you go have no prob with me comment being deleted earlier in the conversation but when you insult me god forbid they delete your comment! Typical....!

Posted 11/08/2009 16:51:43

Cynic

Well I don't think its a big deal which direction comments go. Besides if it was the way you suggest, someone arrives at this page and scrolls down after the pictures they will have to scroll right to the bottom and start reading the first comments to be able to follow whatever back and fourth exchanges have been going on...

Posted 11/08/2009 16:58:38

Linz

I wouldnt waste my time on your twitter page Paul to be totally honest as I am quite sure that the comment is of an ugly nature. You will be sad to know that I am loggin off now. Im sure your totally devastated that I have other things to do than sit here and voice my opinion with you. Ah well good luck and all the best in the future by the look of the petty comment above you need it!! Ta ta for now!! :) One last note well done entertainment.ie on the new homepage, I love it!! :)

Posted 11/08/2009 17:00:41

Paul

That's true Cynic. It'd be handy for new viewers. But still difficult for people who could be in conversation. But good point.

Sheena, last time i checked, it wasn't against the rules for me to post a link here, it's not porn, so what's the problem? ;) Linz, bye bye, will miss you. Not. Sheena, honey, i mean every word :)

Paul I don't think your twitter reply was at all smart/clever/funny/insightful/mature.

Paul

I did, she didn't accept it. So i went to plan B.

Posted 11/08/2009 17:07:07

Cynic

Hey Paul your twitter comments have been removed! Or did you take them off yourself because they were nothing that a 25 year old man would to be proud of saying because he resorted to using that kind of language?

Posted 11/08/2009 17:14:15

Cynic

What purpose did the serve Paul? What good did they do you? I've heard people of all ages/genders say and do a lot worse, but it doesn't really paint you in a good light at all. What you said on twitter didn't sound clever or funny and you can't say you were joking as you already said you weren't trying to be when I said your twitter comments weren't 'smart/clever/funny/insightful/mature'. And an exercise in how chicken people can be? Was it brave of you to resort to name calling and foul language, then remove your comments from twitter? You sound like a child hurling abuse then running away... Nothing big or clever about that.

Posted 11/08/2009 23:45:46

Linz

Paul this had nothing got to do with me bein a chicken to talk to you without the safety net that you think entertainment.ie. Difference between me and you is though that i can stand my ground and make my point and not resort to using launguage and whatever else. I am not sure what you wrote on twitter as I didnt waste my time goin on like I told you I wouldnt but they must have been pretty shameful and dsigusting if you were so ashamed of what you wrote to take it tho or was that because you got abuse for what you wrote? Either way to even think of writing it shows that you are not at all that intellectual that you let yourself believe to go on and write something which by the sounds of comments above was pretty juvenile. Your wasting my time so if you dont mind refrain from engagin in conversation with me. I dont waste my time on people like you.
