While there was no theme on this year's red carpet - Kate Hudson's strapless, white, flared jumpsuit complete with Jimmy Choo clutch saw to that - there was one notable style trend most attendees stuck to, can you guess what it is? Here's a clue - Claire Danes was the exception to the rule...

We'll leave you with that one for a minute. In the meantime, here's Kate Hudson in her aforementioned jumpsuit (apparently she has Brian Atwood sandals under there)

In stark contrast, here's Lea Michele in a saucy peek-a-boob affair thanks to Elie Saab.

Keeping it black, and also embracing the jumpsuit, we have Natalie Dormer in Roland Mouret.

Other black clad beauties included Julianne Hough (in Kaufmanfranco), Shay Mitchelle (in Haney), and Carly Rae Jepsen channelling her inner Joan Jett.

By the way, have you copped the recurring theme yet? We'll give you another clue - it's make up related. This brings us seamlessly to Claire Danes, sporting a Greek goddess look.

Other notable looks from the night included Christina Milian in an eye-watering haze of purple... even her shoes and clutch are purple. Deets.

Also making a statement, thanks to her gigantic Vera Wang sequined number, was Priyanka Chopra.

Keeping it slinky, with a touch of 90s chic (CHOKER ALERT) we've Vanessa Hudgens in gunmetal lame by Kayat.

Our favourite look of the night goes to 13-year-old Maddie Ziegler, who nailed it in a Michael Costello skater dress.

So did you cop the trend (assuming you're still with us). It was, of course, nude lipstick. Danes was the only person we noticed with a statement lip. Give yourself a clap on the back.
