Nicki Minaj says signing breasts is 'empowering'

Nicki Minaj finds it ''empowering'' to sign her female fans' breasts.

The 'Starships' singer is often asked to scrawl her signature across boobs when she meets her admirers and she has no problem inking someone's bust.

She is quoted as saying: ''I think boobs are very empowering - and signing them is even more empowering.

''I've been doing it for years. Wherever I go, I sign boobs.''

Nicki will even sign men's chests if they want and finds it ''funny'' if the guys aren't in shape and have 'moobs' - male breasts.

When she isn't signing fans' bodies, Nicki is busy picking up awards for her music.

The 29-year-old rapper was named Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the third year running at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards on Sunday night (01.07.12).

Upon accepting her prize, she said: ''I really, really appreciate BET for keeping this category alive, and I appreciate all the female rappers doing their thing, past, present and future.''

Other big winners at the ceremony at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium included Beyonce Knowles who was named Best Female R&B Artist and Chris Brown who took home the gong for Best Male R&B Artist.

Beyonce's husband Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne project was named Best Group.
