Mila Kunis finds it ''hard'' to trust others.

The 'Ted' actress - who is believed to be dating Ashton Kutcher - is trying to shrug off her cautious side and become ''more fun'' and ''more open'' in her life because she struggles to fully rely on people.

She said: ''I'm trying to be less guarded and more open. I find it hard to trust people. There's a side to me that's very cautious and suspicious. But I'm gradually feeling a little more secure about who I am and enjoying everything that's been happening to me.

''I'm trying to have more fun in life. I'm much more conservative than people think - I mean, I don't send out naked photos of myself or climb out of limos without any knickers on!''

Mila - who previously dated Macaulay Culkin for eight years from 2002 to 2010 - isn't a big believer in receiving expensive gifts from her lovers and would much rather be treated to thoughtful presents like some of her favourite calorific treats.

She added: ''It doesn't have to be a big or grand gesture. Material things come and go, and if you want that amazing bag you can get it for yourself, right? But if someone puts a little bit of thought into what it is that makes you happy, whether that be bringing you your favourite drink or chocolate, or treating you like a princess, that way it's meaningful.''
