Jennifer Hudson's brother-in-law seen driving SUV

A witness at the trial of William Balfour has claimed he saw him riding the SUV Jennifer Hudson's seven-year-old nephew Julian was found dead in.

Bill Graham, a 71-year-old retiree, claims he saw the murder suspect in the white SUV, which was different from the green Chrysler he knew he usually drove.

He told the Crook County courtroom: ''I wondered who would let him drive a truck like that because I never seen him drive one before.''

He added he did not know William - who is accused of murdering Jennifer's mother Darnell, brother Jason and nephew - personally but knew he lived on the same block.

Bill added he believed he was in the car alone around midday on October 24 2008, the same day her mother and brother's bodies were found.

He said: ''Only thing I saw him do was like he leaned over, you could see him that he leaned over. I don't know what he did after that. He got out.''

Prosecutors claim William killed his in-laws because he believed his then-estranged wife Julia - Jennifer's sister - was dating another man.

Defence claims the police arrested the wrong man and should have continued to look into other suspects.

William has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is set to last for another three weeks.
