Woody Allen's publicist, Leslee Dart, has released a comment regarding the director's adoptive daughter's claims that he sexually abused her when she was aged 7. And here it is: "Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful."

Allen's lawyer, Elkan Abramowitz, added: "It is tragic that after 20 years a story engineered by a vengeful lover resurfaces after it was fully vetted and rejected by independent authorities. The one to blame for Dylan's distress is neither Dylan nor Woody Allen."

According to The Telegraph, "Allen was investigated on child molestation claims for the 1992 accusation, but was never charged." Dylan is now calling for a "a retrial for Allen in the court of public opinion."

Dylan's allegation of sexual abuse, which she claims involved being led to a "dim, closet-like attic" in the families Connecticut home back in 1992, came "shortly after Allen became involved with Mia Farrow's adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn." She was 19 at the time.

Allen and Previn, who married in 1997, just so happen to have two adopted daughters.
