There's no two ways of putting it - A-listers LOVE having the craic with us in some form or another. That and sure we'll leave them be because we don't want them knowing that we're tickled silly they've chosen our local to have a pint or a Jameson Whiskey in. Between Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer, Rihanna, and Daniel Radcliffe, Eva Longoria munching on a bag of Tayto, we've had more than our fair share of impromptu celebrity appearances in hotspots around the capital.

When Miley came to play a few nights in Dublin in May 2014, who would've thought Stoneybatter's L. Mulligan's Grocer and The Cobblestone would've been her venues of choice? Rihanna sent jaw's dropping when she rocked up to O'Donoghues on Merrion Row in November 2011. She actually ended up having her Thanksgiving dinner there.

A source at the time said: "She has reserved O'Donoghue's pub on Baggot Street for 100 guests. She's handpicked a special menu laid on by top French restaurant Hugo's, which is across the street from the traditional Irish pub. Rihanna and her crew have been on the road for a long time and they're all missing out on sharing the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with their families."

Only in August, we had Amy Schumer, Judd Apatow, Glen Hansard and a blushing bride enjoy a rousing rendition of the Auld Triangle in Grogans' bar...

Most random of all, however, is the time a bedraggled looking Daniel Radcliffe took a break from shooting The F Word to get on down with Dublin's minor Gaelic Football team until 4am after they won the Tom Markham Cup back in September 2012.

While most of the celebrity spotting seems to happen in Dublin, the North West of the country is also fierce popular. Back in the summer of 2013, Liam Gallagher got on down with the pints in various public houses like The Strand and Hargadons.

Also enjoying Hargadons' wares in March 2014 we had the mother of all stag parties involving Paul Rudd, Peter Dinklage, Joe Lo Truglio, and Bobby Cannavale. And who could forget 2008 when Will Ferrell came to investigate his roots and naturally ended up in a house party in Longford...

More recently, in Kerry, we had the one and only Luke 'Mark Hamill' Skywalker pulling pints in a pub - more specifically the Bridge Bar in Portmagee...

And as for Kim and Kanye spending half their honeymoon in cinemas in the midlands, you can't get more random than that...
