Yes the guy can be a total a**hole but when you see the context of what he has to put up with, he has good reason.
You may have already seen the picture of Justin Bieber eating lunch at a Chargrill Charlie's restaurant that was doing the rounds last week.
Pictured below, it depicts Bieber trying to enjoy lunch with friends as huge hordes of fans are kept back by a policeman.

Afterwards, fans chased him as he ran to his car from the restaurant and when you see the videos side-by-side, they really are horrific.
At one point, Bieber can even be heard telling the crowd: "The more you guys scream and act like animals, the less we can have a conversation." Given the stampede-like nature of the screaming fans, calling them animals is pretty accurate…
