Woody Harrelson appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his new indie comedy, Wilson, but the host (and every Star Wars fan on the planet) was more interested in learning more about the upcoming Han Solo spin off in which the actor has a role.

Details about the film have been very much tight on the ground thus far. In fact all we really know is that Harrelson will be appearing the movie alongside Donald Glover (as Lando Calrissian), Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and of course the scruffy looking nerf herder himself, Alden Ehrenreich.

However, thanks to some questioning from Fallon, we now at least know a little bit more about Harrelson's character.

So his name will be 'Beckett' and he'll be a mentor to Han Solo but also kind of a criminal. Yeah sounds about right. Han hardly licked his scoundrel tendencies off of a stone after all.

Harrelson also discussed his recent Facebook Live movie experiment, Lost in London
