Saoirse Ronan's mam may have had to FaceTime in to see her take home the Golden Globe for 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy' for 'Lady Bird' on Sunday night but it turns out she had a very valid reason.
Ronan was a guest on 'The Tonight Show' last night and explained why her mam had to watch her win from home in Ireland and it's because of a little fuzzball called Fran, who the Ronans think is a cross between a Westie and a Golden Retriever and allegedly looks a little like Saoirse herself.
Thankfully, that's not Saoirse and her mothers only interaction around the movie as they went to a screening together and while it was enjoyable, it was a little embarrassing for reasons we'll let Saoirse explain.
