Nick Jonas squishes a lot of information into this here 4 minute interview snippet courtesy of Ellen.
First he discusses living with brother Joe, and how their musical tastes often blend (so, really, Nick could've released Cake By The Ocean and none of us would've noticed the difference) along with how messy his older sibling is. They move on to the Met Gala, and how nerve wracking walking the red carpet at such an event is - particularly in heels and in the presence of Beyonce.
Ellen then gets to the nub of it all around the 2:30 mark, saying "So, did you go by yourself?" And when he responded that, yes, he's single right now - amid much applause - Ellen digs further adding: "Look, people cheering your loneliness. That’s great. You’re really single right now?" "I really am," Jonas replies. "Yeah, I am. You don't believe me!" Having none of it, Ellen then asks "So how is Kate Hudson doing, she’s good?"
Smooth as you like, Jonas responds: "She’s great. We had a group dinner the night before the Met Gala. Lots of people, and she was there and I was there. But it was a group."
37-year-old Hudson and 23-year-old have continuously denied hooking up since they were spotted enjoying a roller coaster ride back in October 2015. Despite trying to remain shtum on their relationship, Jonas was asked recently what "the sex" was like with Hudson during an interview.
Instead of blackballing the interviewer, Jonas said: "Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful. Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing."
