The Post brings together two of the world’s most beloved and famous actors – Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks – and since they’re now on the road promoting the film, we’re going to be seeing more of the two together, which is delightful.

Recently, the pair of them appeared on The Ellen Show. Bearing in mind that they each have so many famous roles, host Ellen first asked what is their favourite roles of one another.

As would be the case with anyone put on the spot to pick ONE Tom Hanks movie and ONE Meryl Streep movie (talk about Sophie’s Choice…), they ended up picking a few from their respective co-star’s illustrious careers.

Streep and Hanks were then asked if they would read lines from each other’s movies and attempt an impersonation of one another. The films included Forrest Gump, The Devil Wears Prada, Toy Story and The Iron Lady, and while Streep impresses, Hanks really goes all out:

 

The pair of them also spoke about meeting for the first time and went over some of the highlights of the Golden Globes last weekend:
