Once a rebel, always a rebel.

Kristen Stewart has always had a knack for making a name for herself but it seems like she's taking her time on the jury for Cannes Film Festival and running with it.

Stewart walked the red carpet at last night's premiere of Spike Lee's 'BlacKkKlansman' and after posing for photographs, and in full view of the gathered press, removed her Christian Louboutins and walked up the famous Cannes steps barefoot.

This isn't the first time Stewart has had an opinion about Cannes controversial 'no flats' policy for red carpets, telling a reporter in 2006 that it was sexist.

"Things have to change immediately," she said. "It has become really obvious that if [a man and I] were walking the red carpet together and someone stopped me and said, 'Excuse me, young lady, you're not wearing heels. You cannot come in.' Then [I'm going to say], 'Neither is my friend. Does he have to wear heels?' It can work both ways.

"It's just like you simply cannot ask me to do something that you are not asking him. I get the black-tie thing but you should be able to do either version—flats or heels."

Twitter has obviously had a lot of feelings about it.
