You don't need us to tell you what a legend Ian McKellen is, he's Gandalf for crying out loud. These days he is starring in upcoming flick Mr Holmes as the ageing detective himself, so he is busy doing a bit of a press tour at the moment.

The good folks at Yahoo decided to make some quality use of their time with the award winning actor and had him recite the lyrics to some of this year's most popular songs, including Taylor Swift's Bad Blood and Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.

And we got to tell you, they never sounded better. Although we're pretty sure Ian McKellen could read the phone book to us and we'd be only delighted.
