It might be a surprise to some, but Ashton Kutcher wasn't the first choice to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men back in 2011.

That honour goes to Four Weddings and a Funeral star, Hugh Grant.  Chuck Lorre and the higher ups at CBS were keen to get Grant to take over and were prepared to pay him a 'stratospheric' sum of money to do so. Of course Grant turned them down and Ashton Kutcher was the one to make over $1m an episode for a further four seasons of the show.

During a recent appearance on Howard Stern, Grant spoke about the offer for the first time and reason he chose not to do it. He also shared a gas tidbit from working with The Big Bang Theory star Simon Helberg (Howard) on Florence Foster Jenkins where he admitted to be 'vaguely patronising'.
