James Corden definitely got more than he bargained for when he challenged the legendary Dame Judi Dench to a Drop the Mic rap battle on his late night talk show last night.
Off the bat, Mirren immediately demanded that Corden “kneel, baby, kneel.” However, Corden got his own back when he mentioned her ex: “You dated Liam Neeson back in 1982. He left you real quick, he wasn’t taken with you!”
Mirren had a quick and brilliant response as she rapped: “He’s obsessed with my exes, sorry, James, I’m not single, but you know I taught your little mister to tingle.”
The actress also had a brilliant and empowering finale as she concluded: “Compare me to Meryl [Streep], Judy [Dench], Maggie [Smith], but why? They’re not my competition, they’re my ride or die! See women are a force to be reckoned with. And I reckon I wrecked you. You’ve been to hell and back, b**ch.”
