No one tells Bette Midler when her time is up except Bette Midler.

Midler took home her first Tony award for acting for her role in 'Hello Dolly!' last night and seeing as it took her 43 years to win one she made sure she got full use of her time on stage.

So much so that when the orchestra tried to play her off, she powered on through and got them to stop with a very effective "Shut that crap off!", which we doubt anyone other than Midler could pull off.

Midler's speech ran for over five minutes and despite that, she still forgot to thank some people, taking to Twitter afterwards to mention those she hadn't mentioned either on stage or in the press room.

And her behaviour even spawned a new term for 2017.

You can watch her full speech below.
